no, at least not that i know of, but its also not necessary for bpu levels. if you vent to atmosphere without having a way for the car to compensate for the loss of metered air, the car will run rich on shifts and might not idle very well (ie- it may stall out). i guess if it runs so rich on the shifts it could slow it down a little bit, but i really dont think it would be that much, if any.

no not at all....i would actually recommend gettnig an aftermarket bov on BPU levels. its a quicker and better realese of the pressure and thats never a bad thing.

as for the running rich due to the venting well thats gonna appen no matter what level of the supra is....it can be fixed by recirculating it back into the system OR like most people do.......tuning.

i have the hks ssq. and it is located on the driver sidei/c pipe next the trac butterfly.i have no idle or stall problems and zero compressor surge.when they are mounted before the i/c i see many have idle and comprresor surgeing issues..just my 2 cents.

But do you still have your stock BOV on the car?

no stock bov just capped it off.not one problem yet.idles real smooth
