I was just wondering if BOVs gave a different sound depending on wheter you have an auto or a manual? I thought maybe with a manual that the BOV may exhale longer than with an auto where an auto shifts faster? Maybe a stupid question but I have never heard a BOV on an auto so I was just curious.

I actually was wondering the same thing...

I've heard you really can't hear it much between shifts in an auto, but if you're in boost, and just let off the gas, you can hear it just as in a manual.

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

It sounds the same every time you lift the throttle. Doesn't matter if it's manual or auto. You lift, you SHSHSHSH...
