Friend and I were discussing this after my run. I was under the impression that it was pretty common these days for BPU Supras to be hitting 11s. He tells me it's not.

So if you are/were BPU and hit the 11s please post here.

Post tranny type, tire type, ET/Trap, and 60 foot if you would please.

mine was 11.966 @119.63 mph with a 1.9x 60' 6spd

11's at BPU happen frequently but are not
a given by any means. It would be very hard
to do with a stock converter automatic. Mine
was a 6-speed with Ntto DR's. 100 octane fuel.
Here are some times at different mod levels:

Stock catback,k+n filter,bcc,pulled vsv hose,dp,stock clutch:
[email protected] with a 1.687 60' time.

Mods as above but added Greddy SP catback and pulled light:
[email protected] with 1.739 60' time.
[email protected] with 1.792 60' time.
[email protected] with 1.850 60' time.

Above mods plus TRD clutch,MBC, and hks cam gears(no tuning):
[email protected] with 1.752 60' time.
[email protected] with 1.843 60' time.

When SP71Supra was still on his stock twins he went 11.6 @ xxx. I'm not sure about his specifics, BPU, VPC and DR's I beleive. Wait until he sees this, he'll chime in.

Straight BPU, my best time was a [email protected] with a 2.07 60' on a 45 deg. day. This was on Nitto dr's and 16 psi boost on pump gas. This was my first time on dr's and with more experience I think a 11 would have been feasible. The reason the boost was so low was because of a restrictive exhaust, probably more so than the stock one.

i ran an 11.6 @ 118.2 with a 1.69 60'.

this was on 16' bfg comp ta 255/50/16's. i have an auto with a 3600 stall. i was holding 18 psi and it was about 75 degrees out.

I hope your ready to beat that 11.6 this weekend Rick. The weather looks good so I'm gonna go... I hope you can make it. I don't know if I'm going to Atco, E-town or the LI track. Would you still try to come if I was going to LI or is that too far for you? I'll call you later in the week to let you know where I'm gonna go.

11.89 with 1.7 0-60

oh yeah was in the high 12s till my MT ET on rx7 wheels

tanabe downpipe 3'' (no cats)
greddy profecB spec2 ebc (18psi)
greddy bcc
greddy ebg
apex'i s-afc2
91 ocatane on stock tires

I think low 12's is doable with my setup. what you guys thing?

I am debating on getting a stall but don't know which, 3200 or 3800. I have a 97 auto.

You'd probably be like me, got plenty O' Power, just no 60' times.

Anybody know if a stock trannied (stalled) auto has ever ran 11's w/out spray?

Yes, I'm sure there have been a handful although I personally saw Henri F. run an 11.9 with just an exhaust BCC and HPF mod. I think Rick also ran an 11.9 with a stock stall.

Mike Louie ran 11.9X @ 121.X on his stock auto/stock stall/Nitto DR's straight BPU car, saw it with my own two eyes.

Here's an interesting one :

What do you think a J-spec 6-speed Supra would run that has :

boost controller
DP
full exhaust
drag radials
cam gears
98 octane (i'm in europe so in US it's like 93 octane for european 98 right?)
US spec intake cam

What 60' were they cutting on the stock stall? I've almost come to the conclusion that w/out spray, you can't do better than a 2.0. Anyone agree/disagree? My buddy, however, cut a 1.7 on a basic bpu car w/ front mount and a ~55 shot right out of the hole! Enough to run an 11.6 @ 123 running out of nitrous half way down the track.

That's what I'm planning next... 75 shot as soon as the light turns green, at least 3600 maybe 4000 stall, tranny cooler, stock turbos pushing ~21 psi, sticky BFGs ----> LOW 11s! ??

so basically a bpu needs at least DR's to hit 11's? I know on street tires I cant get below 2.2+ 60 fts
