hey guys, im the guy with the cobra, my car made 454/469 with no bottle, i have a shot of spray on it, which unfortunaly i didnt get to use tonight on brad! : ) (WOT switch was acting up) my car made 566/595 with weak pressure in the bottle...im gunna take another stab at him next week : ).....car was awesome! sounds amazing!! i have this all on video..but have no idea how to get it online..

leo, you werent having problems with the switch, it came COMPLETELY OFF, lol! hey brad, im the guy that was with leo. it took us a while to realize why we were losing so bad but after we got pulled over by the cop, who let us go, we looked under the hood and sure enough the switch had come ubolted and was just sitting on top the head. we rode back to a friends house and fixed it but by that time we didnt know where you went. oh well, maybe next week. we tried the car again later with the switch on and could not keep the tires on the ground. hope to see you up at BJ's again!

 

when we got the bottle hitting correctly again, it actually scared me pretty good!! broke 315 Nitto Drag Radials loose!! haha gota love some low end torque! : )

whats up hunter? havent talked to you in while! yeah mark was out there with us, ive raced him before, with crappy pressure in my bottle and pulled him a fender, his bottle was also low that night....thats is the only thing i hate about having a bottle!!!

he said he was low on nitrous that night, and actually he was walking me pretty hard! thats when i knew something was def. wrong!! because i pull him when i spray..so like i said on the other boards, ive got my problem sorted out now, and ide like another go at it, with your car around 20#'s or so...even though HIGH BOOST will be reeeallly addicting!! and you probably wont want to turn the boost back down...but i think i may have someone to run you on 30lbs that will put up a good fight

its kinda hard for you to understand the real situation considering you live 3000 miles away and obviously were not there. let brad tell you exactlly how bad he beat us and you will immediately notice that something was wrong, i dont think a 550hp supra would put bus-lengths on a near 600hp cobra. i verified the microswitch coming off myself as i was the passenger in the car. i also know about 10 other people that saw this, whether you believe us or not is up to you, just telling you what happened.

brad, car is awesome and is running great, hope leo gets a rematch sometime, i know i will be looking forward to it.

I posted this in another thread, I'll repost it here. There are several key factors contributing to the race even if he sprays a 100 shot.

1) Weight. My car weighed 3389 before I removed the stock turbos and went single. That's like a 40 pound weight savings. I'm one of the top 15 lightest Supras recorded on hardtop registry.

The cobra weighs 3800 pounds not including the driver. I guarantee I have 300 pounds less than that car. That's gonna take some horsepower to overcome.

2) Gearing and redline-Notice his car made tons of torque, and that means the car makes hella good power down low. It's set up more for 1/4 mile, bottom line. I'm not sure what the redline is on that motor but everytime he shifted last night I gained like a half a car length because I didn't have to shift for way later in the RPM range.

I'm guessing a 600hp Supra beats a 600hp Cobra due to weight and gearing assuming everything else like traction issues are eliminated. Just a guess though.

thats ture..supra has top end like no tomarrow!!! also the curb weight on the 2003 cobra is 3665 according to ford

I stand corrected, it's 140 pounds lighter than I posted..sorry about that guys.

the video is gunna go up as soon as braddman comes back from out of town...he knows how to do all the video edditing : ) ...my love for the toyota supra will always keep me a fan of you guys and this site, supra is the other car i would have if i didnt have my cobra...im not the hater typer either..there will be plenty of videos comming between the two of us..so look out for them!
