Ok guys, I went down with a rod knock in my 89 turbo.I know sometime in 89 the mounts changed and also so did the rev limit. So my question is to you all would you need the whole uncut harness and ecu for my car ( say if i got a new engine out of an earlyer 89 and the revlimit is still at 6,500)will this mess with anything?funny thing is my tach redlines at 6500 but it seems like it hits limiter at around 6-6,300, but also it looks to me that i have the pre 89.5 motor mounts with a post 89.5 revlimit(any ideas whats goin on)?So will the ECU on a post 89.5(limit at 6,250) mess with an engine from a pre 89.5(different crank more rev, 6,500) Or if someone knows a way to figure out exactly when my car was made that would help.(dont have the stickers on the door that says when it was born).
