since i´m painting/renew my center console i thought it would be a good point to change out the sloppy oem shifter for something "better". first i thought about just purchasing oem parts and just replace all the parts of the old oem shifter, but it seems to be impossible to buy one seat/collar (the one in which the oem shifter sits).
now my question is should i go for the C´S shifter or should i just replace the oem parts i could get and that´s it.

oh btw i have a 93 JDM NA 5 speed

Why not go with the NA TRD Quick Shifter? I have it in my NA Supra. The difference is night and day compared to stock.

Or just cut-out part of the middle section and weld the two halves together.
this dosnt shorten the throw of the shifter just the height of the knob.
