It says the 02 Z06 was in 4th gear and the 06 Z06 in 2nd gear! :scratch: The 650TT can't be that fast can it? That result would require it to have around twice the torque of the 06 Z06, i.e. 950-1000lbft. :scratch:

The 02 has about 170RWHP more than the C6 ZO6 :dunno:

That's not enough to make the 02's 4th gear as fast as the 06's 2nd gear. 2nd gear has roughly twice the reduction ratio, so to pull 4th as fast as 2nd you'd need twice the torque. The 06 is quoted at 470lbft. Has this 02 got twice that, i.e. ~800rwtq.

If it has then fine. Amazing! :)

realize that the new zo6s are designed to make a lot of horsepower at higher rpms while the 02 utilized his torque at low rpms in 4th gear to prevent having to change gears, thats the beautiful thing about nitrous... as soon as the 06 had to shift he dropped back further and further.

The cobra also has the drag coefficient of a toaster. What the devil is that blown power steering pump sound coming from the cobra. :bigthumb:

The Lingenfelter is definitely that fast. Theres a video of an LPE 650TT C5 Z06 staying with a Busa well over 100mph. Even though its only 600whp, its like some kind of ungodly 600whp.

On another note, those new Z's are freakin amazing. Thats alot of car for ~75k.

Having thought about it, a slightly reworked 650TT could easily push 800rwtq and thus match a C6 Z06 in 2nd while in 4th. It's just a scary thought, 4th gear matching the 2nd gear of a supercar slayer. :)

That black C5 was DEFINANTLY spraying for sure. The tell tale signs are the sputtering sound coming out of the exhaust. Its the difference in the combustion sound. I have heard that TOO many times around my area....everyone that is slow runs "NOS" :faint:
