I think the Vette had a little more done then what was posted before the video started. BUT DAM that vet looks sick with the black on black rims.

says the vette has 488rwhp = 560ish at the crank... so the GT40 has similar power correct?

Maybe because the Ford is geared higher? That would explain the discrepancies in similar hp vehicles.

Well cold air intake + tune will certainly yield 488RWHP on the C6Z, this is not news. While on the other hand the race itself could be any other story. I happen to believe it... similar power, weight advantage to Z06, driver factor to Z06 and you have those type of results.

I remember the figure of 488rwhp now. I think one of them achieved 488rwhp bone stock:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1337820&highlight=488rwhp

and another got 498rwhp bone stock with just a tune.

Having said that, a stock GT can make up to 515rwhp (see red line) and they only weigh about 100kg more kerb. With 2 drivers in each, that isn't a huge percentage.
