Vishnu is a good place for WRX only not for supras
if you dyno your supra at Vishu you will get really low numbers because his dyno is not a dynojet

it just isnt SAE HP
it really doesnt matter what your HP is if your just tuning, if your making max power on that particular dyno with proper A/Fs and what not then it is good

this isnt the where to get the biggest numbers thread"
but where to get your car tuned thread

Matt Hunt from UPRD was the only guy who could fix the boost leak in my 97 BPU. I went down there on a Saturday morning and he fixed it while I waited.....broken piece of IC piping, he also sold me some used BPU parts and installed them at a great price.

dynmicracer, i think the list of links is misleading... for example, i did take my car to DynoSpot 2 yrs ago in hopes they could fix a problem (they were close by work..)

they really have no idea about supras... maybe fine for dynos only...

Yeah good point. I have been meaning to go in and rearrange them but just have not had a chance. I will.

True our dyno reads lower than a Dynojet. But you will get a good tune done to your Supra and then you can go to Dynospot or ATP for the horsepower chart to post as they both have the higher reading Dynojets.

For Maintenance and any bolt-ons:

Mo's Garage
2005 N. Tustin Ave. #C
Santa Ana, CA 92705
714-834-0256

I've known them for over 10 years, and they are knowledgable, honest and their prices are fair. And most importantly, they will stand behind their work 100%. They have 6 lifts and are very well setup to handle any maintenance and repair.

From the people's Supras I know of, the major things they've done are:
Timing Belts 10+
Clutches ~15
Head off incl. valve stem and turbo seals 2
Head on valve stem seals 6
Stock turbo rebuild/replacement 6+
Entire longblock out of the car 5
Wheel Bearings 4+
etc.....

I just negotiated a special fixed special rate for Supra owners, though they've worked on probably 30 Supras including mine.

$75 and hour (vs. $85 normal rate)
15% off OEM Toyota Parts (if you don't get them from Curt of Jeff)

Clutch Labor $500
Wheel Bearings ~$275
FMIC Install $350+ depending on what kind.

Engine Swaps, Major Work, Maintenance, etc.:

Sarkis
DynoXtreme
8042 Cerritos Ave., Suite F
Stanton, CA 90680
714-231-4299
www.dynoxtreme.com

Wheel Repair:
Custom Wheel Service
3158 E La Palma Ave
Anaheim, CA 92646
714-632-6700
www.customwheelservice.com

By far the best wheel repair contacts around. They've had wheels fixed for friends of mine that other shops said couldn't be done. And I had them completely redo my wheels and they came out great.

Cryogenic (Cryo) Treating Rotors:

Applied Rotor Technology
4431 Corporate Center Dr. Ste 115
Los Alamitos, CA 90720
(714) 527-9400
http://www.appliedrotortechnology.com

Normal price is $70 per rotor, but I'm working on a discounted price for Supra owners.

Fabrication Work:

Brian Darnall
(714) 356-3855

UPRD and R&D Dyno

Here's my experience with both. UPRD is slow and I suspect they don't install the parts they say do. I had gasket goop on my downpipe instead of the right flange gasket. They threw out my very EXPENSIVE Toyota hose clamps and use ty-wraps. How long do you think those will last under heat/time? Where's the photos they promised me? R&D Dyno is a hole! 3/4 of the time they loose the RPM signal during a pull. They don't know enough to put a fan on the IC, etc., etc.
Let's hear from others!
