Discussion Starter #1 (Edited)
I did a search and couldn't come up with what I wanted.

I'm in the middle of installing my S-AFCII and found out the previous owner installed an HKS FCD instead of a Greddy BCC. I'm going to pull the FCD out and install a BCC but won't have it until next week. my questions are this...

1. can I run the FCD or the Greddy BCC with the S-AFCII?

2. what side of the FCD/BCC should I wire the S-AFCII into (ecu or non ecu side)

3. Can I pull out the FCD and hook up the S-AFCII now and drive the car until the BCC comes in, as long as I stay under 1 bar?

Thanks

1. yes

2. on a u.s. spec car, the s-afc modifies the maf sensor signal, not the map sensor signal. bcc/fcd would be on the map senosr. s-afc on the maf sensor.

if you see a few wires where the FCD is installed where you want to tap in for your s-afc, they are probably power and ground. in that case it doesn't matter which side you hook them to.

3. yup
