I just picked up my first MKIV TT about 6 weeks ago. I began reading the FAQ's and posts about crankwalk, and have to admit I'm a little concerned. The car isn't showing symptoms, but since a lot of owners are blaming the issue on their clutch, I guess its something I should figure out.

I bought the car with a twin-disc clutch in it, but the 2nd owner doesn't know the brand. The first owner (..leased, then bought..) went BPU+, including the clutch, and the second owner hardly drove it. When the clutch is out, that thing whines like a sumbitch...seriously, you can hear it 30ft away (throwout bearing(s)?). Push the clutch in, and you can hear it wind down to silence. Pedal feel is light, but the engagement beginning to end is about 1" total...a real bitch on the street sometimes. Any guesses?

This is my first experience with a MKIV TT, and a twin disc as well, so please forgive the ignorance. TIA...

Blitz Twin Active, maybe. That's what it sounds like to me.
