Does it really only work with the IO gear USB adapter.... I have a Prolific adapter and a Belkin and I can't seem to get connected.

What i"m hoping isn't the case... the only thing is, i'm trying to use my 1jz to 2jz jumper harness I don't have a mk4 harness so thats the only thing that could be the problem.

Is there no way to tell if the unit is on or powered on?

I did test that it was getting 12V form the battery soruce.

Did you make sure all the pins from the 1JZ corresponds to what they should be in the 2JZ harness. Hopefully you didn't fry you ecu.

this may sound like a stupid question, but did you set the port when you go to ECU-->Connection Port? you have to set it to Serial, then find the port that your USB port is using in Device Manager under Ports

if you physically brought a desktop PC out and tried to connect it directly to the serial port and it didn't communicate, there is something else going on there.

haha that's pretty funny though

I got it working, the prolific 10$ usb adapter worked flawlessly

also I had the wrong pin for EFI main relay i had it on 14A instead of 24A
