Anyone ever get flat tire sealant on their rim?
that stuff leaves a sticky film that picks up dirt and is nearly impossible to wash off


I've tried washing it off to no avail. :dunno:
And I don't want to use steel wool or anything that will ruin the finish

I dunno...but lighter fluid? Put it on a paper towel and rub it over until it comes off, take another with water and wash off any remnants of lighter fluid

yeap thats what someone else suggested

I tried some regular rubbing alcohol and it's just enough to get the job done, with a bit of elbow grease.
If I had picked up some straight isopropyl or denatured alcohol it would probably be even easier.
But I figured I'd try the rubbing alcohol as I already have some on hand.

You need to get some 91% IPA. Another great cleaner is Vinegar (acidic). Keep these on hand for all kinds of crap.
