I am having a problem with my car surging at idle badly. The car runs fine besides when it idles but when it starts to idle it sounds like a damn muscle car with a huge cam in it. The rpm's just jump back and forth from 400 to 1000. I don't know what it wrong with it, but I am hoping someone can help me out. I already tried resetting the Ecu and it still surges like before. Thanks in advance for the help, Curt.

First thing, put about 20 miles on your car after you reset your ECU last time, then flash your ECU trouble codes and post up what you find.

Next, look for vacuum leaks (hose popped off), as the idle you are describing can easily be caused by that...

One of those two things should solve your problem. If not, we'll go from there with further possibilities.

No hoses are popped off and I have already driven around for more than 20 miles when I reset my ecu.
