There is a shop here in Houston that does that chrome like plating on plastic parts, alot of motorcycle guys use that service.

$325.00 without swap.
$275.00 with swap

30 day warranty on chrome plating

The cover should stand up to normal operating temperatures. I would not recommend for drag racing. It comes with a 30 day warranty
