Not a huge money build, just simple and clean.

89 turbo, R154 swapped. Lexus AFM/550cc/57 trim, rebuilt 7m with ARP studs and cometic MHG

That's gorgeous.

Kinda sad this thread/forum is not as active as it used to be! I've barely missed anything and I almost never log in.

To keep this thread alive: my first Supra!

It's a 1988 turbo in super white (040). It was initially bought as a car to use just for a road trip, but now I've driven it, I think it'll be a keeper ;)

It's mechanically completely stock and as far as I know, only the wheels, antenna, horn and radio are aftermarket parts. :)

I just bought this JZA70 about two months ago while in Japan and is currently being shipped to Long Beach, CA.

Couple of things, I'll be getting rid of the confetti Recaro SR seat quick like and also the floor mats have to go as well. Just not aesthetically appealing to the overall color scheme.

Anyways here she is below, tell me what you think.

Which engine damper are you using? I have been looking for one for my 1JZ...

Are you referring to the strut bar with damper attached? If so it is an MA strut bar. They also make Jza70 floor mats to fit RHD. Rhd Japan is a decent site to checkout for some hard to find things like.

My 89, Don't know who had this car before me but it's from Florida....
it was basically all stock when I got it, it was a rolling shell, previously a 7m car that was switched to a w58??!? factory turbo car though...

Now she's 1jz-r154.

I have been absent for a while, as has the original 2JZUL8R. I recently got her back from Sound Performance and I have to say, it wont' be easy putting her on the market...

Thanks,

Ben,

It's great to see that Nicks old 2JZUL8R is still alive and well! Get more pictures during the day time. :)

Really Hoping to get this thing SUPER Clean

So Project #NoMoSlowJz has been coming along well. I really wanted to clean up the engine bay. here are a few pics of that progress. the full body and bay will be torn down and stripped for a full repaint this winter. I've been lazy and need to update my build thread. Its just made it more annoying since photobucket hosting bailed. I'm hoping they see their idiocy and open it back up.

My color combo i decided to change from the polished look (too much upkeep) to a Satin Black with Deep Metallic Red for accent.

I went with a Toyota Metallic silver for all the Aluminum/Silver parts in the bay.

Everything looks Glossy when sprayed but with a good flattening agent it makes it a nice even satin after curing.
