Since I cant search I need someone to remind me if they could about which way to spin the rod or nut to raise the clutch disengadgement point. I am having problems getting it to totally disengadge and cant remember what to spin or which way after I loosen the first lock nut on the shaft. If anyone knows please let me know.

TIA,
Anthony

You want to turn it into the firewall if you want to raise up the engagement. I remember there was a pdf of it floating around here somewhere.
you mean turn it clockwise? ALso am I turning the rod or is there a second nut behind the lock nut? Very quick response to forgot how good this forum can be

Thanks Again,
Anthony
Well the "clockwise" or "counterclockwise" varies depending on how you look at it

That's why I said turn it into the engine.

Best way to be for sure is to do the two extremes and see what it does.
if looking at it passenger side being clock wise and towards drivers door being counter clockwise?? Is there a second nut that gets turned or is it the rod itself?

If this doesnt get answered ill com back and answer it so it can shortly be lost and never used by other again. I cant believe how long the search has been out for
You want to loosen the jamb nut, and then turn the shaft so that it threads out of the pedal so that the shaft becomes slightly longer. This will allow for more clutch movement.
Turn the shaft by hand or with pliers? I am having ttrouble getting it to turn. Thanks again to everyone who has posted so rapidly
There is a 10mm nut or something that is holding the rod in place. You have to use a wrench or pliers of some kind to loosen the nut.
I loosened 1 nut are you saying there are 2 nuts that need loosened before I can adjust the shaft?

Does the rod get turned by hand or by pliars?

I adjusted this once before and only remember 1 But I also thought I remembered turning another nut to adjust not the rod.

Thanks Again,
Anthony
OK here it is loosen the nut there is only one. Then turn shaft towards passenger side (or clock-wise) to raise the engaugement point. Hope this helps someone else.

My shaft could not be turned easily b/c it was all the way at the bottom and jammed tight once I broke it loose the rod could be turned by hand.
to make it easier to turn you can slightly push the clutch pedal down and turn it.
