This question is about an 88 mkiii 1jz swap car. The car has a 60-1 turbo kit. Currently the car is at 16 psi.
The current clutch setup is an rps 2800 lb pressure plate with an act sprung 6 puck on the stock flywheel.
I had this setup in my 7m and it drove perfectly. The engagement was smooth and easy to modulate with no chatter. With the 1jz, the clutch is extremely grabby, with a little chatter. Any better setups out there that will hold this 60-1 at 25 psi?
I was thinking of going with a spec stage 2 disc. It's a full face Kevlar disc.
