Ok so. When I got my engine and transmission put in my 86 I had a problem with the clutch slipping under high boost when it gets hot. I figured since it was the original clutch, and I had started putting mode on that it was just a worn clutch. So I replaced it with a f1 racing six puck clutch and. Chromoly flywheel. After that it would do it once in a blue moon. And it always does it when its warmer out. It never does it in the morning or at night. And its fine till boost hits 10-11 psi. I put the engine and transmission into my 88 and since I have a longer drive to work now. I sit in traffic a lot. And its causing trouble when trying to merge or pass. Slave cylinder is new. No air in the system that I know of, I bled it pretty well. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any insight on this? Thanks everyone.

Not to be an ass and i know a few ppl here have used that clutch but every time i have tried it there is issues like yours. Buy an ACT or SPEC clutch and you will not have any more issues

How did you install the clutch ? Clutch on motor than trany to block, or clutch on trany than mount trany to block?
Resurfaced flywheel? I'm sure you did but just asking..

I have the same f1 clutch and its been great.

it's your Pressure plate. I had the same issue. Twice!! Second time, i replaced everything with New OEM Clutch kit! still slipping after couple thousand miles. I got annoyed and bought ACT 6 Puck Clutch KIt. Best Investment ever!

I don't think so. Because I was having this same exact problem with the stock clutch. The kit I got came with the flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing. It's all new. Well it was. And it wasn't cheap any by any means to me. But that may only be because being an auto tech doesn't pay the greatest. When I installed the clutch I mounted it to the engine first. I'm thinking that maybe the clutch master isn't releasing all the way. Or maybe a bent clutch fork?

You installed it wrong, you put the pressure plate and clutch on trany than slide it to the motor and bolt it on one bolt at a time through the slave hole on the trany.
And if you van push the slave back with your finger its fine

Well I love the clutch. When it works that is. It's got around 3k miles on it. Give or take. If the general consensus is.the clutch and pressure plate. Then I guess I'm going to have to put some money down on a new one. I don't see much other choice then that.

I installed my clutched on the motor. Pressure plate, clutch then pressure plate ontop... Then slid tranny into place and bled clutch works tits.... So installation shouldn't matter IMO as mines fine. I'm using a rps max pressure plate oem clutch and oem pressure plate(resurfaced).

Pedal adjustment won't do anything other than the time in the pedal it engages and disengages. Unless your pedal is pushed to the floor with the top adjustment.

Yeah techs who put the trsm together just did it the right way because they knew it was a pita.. no cause its the right way and so it doesn't cause any un wanted damage

did you spray the flywheel and pressure plate off with brake clean and whiped it off with a clean rag?
i dont know how many people came to my garage complaining about the clutch slipping after they installed a new one
every time it was they didnt clean the oils of the mating surfaces of the flywheel and pressure plate
