The toyota manual calls for 158 psi minimum of 128 psi, I believe. No more than 14 psi difference between each cylinder. I have heard that you have to hold down the accelerator while cranking to allow the engine to suck in air to compress. Otherwise your you'll be creating somewhat of a vacuum and numbers will be way low. However, I did an compression test and didn't do that and the numbers came out fine, so who knows. Just make sure you crank it over several times till you get maximum compression. Also, a fully charged battery is a must so that it turns over at the same rate on all the cyylinders.

BTW, don't forget to pull out EFI 1 & 2 fuses and make sure the car is at normal operating temp. Try and do the test as quickly as possible so the the test temperatures in each cylinder are close to the same.
