How big is the difference between a cold and hot engine.

Havent started my car for 1 year, and soon time for tuning so tried my compression to see that everything was ok. It was from 140 to 155 psi between the cylinders. Thought it was kinda low?

It is a build bottom with CP pistons

Was the engine warm when you did the compression test? Also did you hold down the accelerator while cranking the motor?

156 psi is the spec for a new stock engine. Compression of 140-155 psi is good for a dry cold engine. It would even be OK for a compression test at normal operating temperature.

Look up how to do the compression test in the TRSM... I have posted it several times for many different people. Do the compression test per the TRSM only for best results.
