Earlier this week the car was having issues starting, most likely due to a low battery that came from the previous owner. I replaced it and the alternator checked out ok, the car started up right away and everything was good. However the two days later it again would not turn, we tried to jump it again and the electronics came on but nothing happened when the key turned. So I came out at 2 a.m one night in the garage opened the door and the turbo timer was on, beeping and had other various lights on in the car even though it had been turned off previously. Now the automatic locks are freaking out and constantly trying to relock themselves over and over and make a constant clicking noise. Checked the turbo timer and the harness seemed fine. I disconnected the battery just to be on the safe side but this is driving me crazy. Do you think it has a part to play in this or is their a possibility of a short somewhere?

With the door locks acting funny, does your car have an aftermarket alarm installed?

Currently your battery is absolutely dead and must be charged as jumping it may not work...I have had batteries with very little juice in them make electronics act up..mostly with aftermarket alarms.

You need to charge up your battery fully and then use a multimeter while the car is off with the key off and removed...check at the battery terminals to see if there is parasitic draw which there will be but it should be very little. I would assume you have a good amount of parasitic draw and its the first and easiest thing to check...a bad connection with the terminals could also do it but that is unlikely.

If you do not know how to do this or do not have the tools, I would recommend taking it to a shop to have them check it out instead of screwing something up and costing yourself more money.
