I was wondring if any of you know what your crank runout it on your rebuilt engines, or even a factory engine.

I have read that most machine shops allow .001" for runout. This is considered very accetable. I have taken 2 cranks down to my machine shop, and both have measured .001". One crank has 100,000 miles, and the other has 240,000 miles.

I plan on running close to 9,000 RPM and up to 35 psi. Do you think that .001" is acceptable for that, or should I have the mains ground.
