Ok I know all about the motor mount issue causing popping noise but this is more of a creak. Sometimes when in my car and put it in reverse to back out of a spot, there is a creaking noise. Usually happens when going from p --> r or p --> d.

Any ideas? Tranny mounts? Something incorrectly torqued? Or is this just the popping sound and I'm not misdiagnosing?

If you already haven't done so..have someone listen to it on the outside and see if they can better pinpoint where the sound is coming from. Best way..but fairly dangerous if not properly jacked is to have the car fully jacked up and get underneath it or listen to the engine bay area. Squeeks could be anything and from anything.

My car does this as I have found it is the front suspension bushings. I am looking to replace them, but I am waiting to see how the aftermarket bushings hold up.

i had a creeking sound but only heard it when i would go up a
sharp incline. turned out to be a bad wheel bearing.
