The other week, I noticed my rear tires were worn very unevenly. Since then, I have noticed that my car's stance looks a little crooked. So yesterday I decided to walk around the car and check the gaps between each tire and the top of the outside wheel well. Sure enough, my left rear side is about 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch lower than the right rear side.

About a year ago, I installed new Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks (at the lowest setting), so 2/3 of an inch is a huge difference. After installation, the heights were all even, and I had it aligned.

I suspected that maybe one of the shocks was blown, but when I jacked up the wheel assembly, each side required an equal amount of force. Also, both of the springs are seated correctly at the bottom on the shock perches. Now, I don't know what else to check or how to check it. Nor do I even remember which side appears to be the proper height.

The only unusual thing I noticed was that the left dust boot started to fall apart when I had my hand up there, but I don't know how that might effect the height.

Where should I be looking, and what should I be looking for?

Since the height was even on both sides after the new springs were installed, I doubt they are causing the problem.
It seems quite logical that the bushings may have gone bad, since they are probably 17 years old.
I think I'm going to pull out both shock/spring assemblies in the rear today or tomorrow for a closer examination. I planned to change the height setting on the shocks anyways, and it shouldn't be too bad since the TEMS components are already removed up top.

Thanks for the help, and please keep the suggestions coming...
