No it doesn't, Toyota actually had a tool that plugged into it, but I suspect its pretty hard to get. You can check your ecu/airbag system codes, jump your fuel pump, and do a few other things with a couple of wires and the service manual though.
You don't really use a tool (besides for the OX1), just jump the pins when trying to diagnose an issue. Half the functions are duplicated tho in the OBD-I port under the dash.
I'm building a custom mil-spec engine harness, moving some stuff around, removing some plugs no longer required, adding some. I wonder if I should keep the Data connection plug there.
Will the diagnosis stuff still work without a factory ECU (AEM Gen 2)
