It seems to me like the earlier MK4 red's are darker than the later models. Was there any change in the color, and if so what years?

the color used for supra between 93.5-98 was code 3L2 renaissance red.this is also a clear coat color.the "shade"differences you see is due to lighting conditions ie:shade,sunlight,incadence lights etc.also a good buff/wax can also made a difference in color clarity.
