Difference between T3 and T4?

Let me start by saying my searching skills must suck. I could not find anything on Google or here on SF. I am trying to figure out what the difference is between the T3 and T4 flange.

If someone could post a picture of the other T3/T4 depending on which this is, that would be great.

Thanks;
Kyle

so when they say t3/t4 are they saying a t3 exhaust side and t4 compressor? I read people saying different things and im sure its that way not the opposite.

All wrong. Both flanges are rectangular. The T4 is just larger. The T3 does happen to be more rectangular (meening the length:width ratio is larger). They are entirely different. Neither one can be made to work with the other. A T3/T4 turbo is a turbo with a T3 (small frame) turbine side that has been mated to a larger frame compressor wheel. This would be something like a GT35/40 (not exactly, but similar).

Limit Engineering has pdf's of different sized Garrett turbos. In these you can find the turbine inlet flange dimmensions. The T4 is something like 3.5" X 2.75" if I remember correctly.

It appears there are some errors on both sites (ATP and forcedinductions). The T4 is shown to be 3.25" wide on the forcedinductions site which I think is actually correct. However, it also shows the width of the T3 to be 1.00" which is definitely wrong.
