go to mkiv.com and check out they have a white paper from toyota I think it is under the specifications page.
The 96 did not have a manual that was the first year of OBD II
from 97 on they deleted some features no heated mirrors vinyl on the door rests insted of leather differnt head lights and tail lights and a slighlty differnt bumper fascia. The engine is the same as is the suspension and I believe there was no change to the brakes either. The wheels were polished or chromes as a dealer option. The dash was grey insted of grey black, the high back seats became one piece instead of two. I think the 98 had a snow switch which klilled some HP at he ecu ( may have been only canadian cars I am not sure) The price decreased in an attempt to get more sales as the market had shifted to SUVs from sports cars. toyota took a bath on the supra development costs were reportedly in the very high multimillions which given the sales number were un recouped.
