Is there a difference between the different years for the accordian hoses? I just got quoted $140 for one for an 87 turbo which I have, and only $90 for the 89 one. What gives? Is there really that big of a difference between the two? The parts guy said they were difference part numbers.

Buy the cheaper one. It's the correct fitment.
Also, buy it from one of the forum sponsors, it will be much cheaper.

It's worth it if you can't wait and the Toyota parts guys/girls where you live are completely useless. They couldn't even find out what hoses hook up to the accordion.

BTW I'm in Canada.

There aren't any that I know of. The only difference I can think of is manufacture location, or process or something. Not really sure. Physically they look identical IIRC.

Someone should buy both and do a comparison

I just ordered one from Jeff Watson at Champion Toyota for around 30USD. It is worth shipping from the US. But i would order anything else you need as UPS's brokerage fees are unreasonable, and they do not seem to be dependent on the size of the order.
