i have a miss and its because of ignition timing. iv had this problem months ago but i fixed it by resetting the distributor and checking the timing with a light.(the timming went off for no reason). well its done it again, but this time i couldent get it back to 10btdc even messing with the distrib. but it shows bizzare timing with the light so im thinking the distrib is jacked. the crank and cam timing are perfect, so thats not the issue.
has anyone ever had this problem and did replacing the distributor fix the timing issue? thanks for any responces

Perhaps your timing belt is going bad. Perhaps it is expanding/contracting with temperature changes which may end up changing your timing.

If it is knocking, perhaps your plugs are bad.......or try raising the octane grade of gas you are using.
