I read a post on here awhile back and I can't find it anymore telling about someone that replaced their distributor and finding out that all that had to be done was replace a gasket on it to fix it. I believe that mine is leaking as well and I know I don't wanna spend 400 bux on a new dist. So does anybody know what gasket that is?
I feel like my car needs to go through a major maint. and I was gonna fix the distributor, change the wires and plugs and while I have the throttle body off clean it and put on the EGR blockoff plates to do that mod. I figure my car needs to go through some small maint. upgrades before I go NA-T. So any help on where to get some good wires for cheap as well as spark plugs that'd be cool.

When you pull out the distributor you will see there is an O ring near the taper of the distributor. This O ring flattens and loses its 'spring' with time, causing oil to seep past. It is a simple procedure to remove and refit. The oil ring itself is quite cheap.
