My car has all of the BPU parts, plus a FMIC. I do not have a boost controller though. My boost is normally 1.2-1.3 bar depending on how cool the weather is. Is there any reason to have one? Will I build boost quicker with one? It's my understanding that even with a boost controller I won't be boosting any less than what I'm already boosting...so my question...do I really need one?

Always better safer than sorry. What happens if you get a bad batch of pump gas and spike? A Manual Boost Controller (MBC) would be a cheap alternative to an electronic one.

a MBC definately would be a good idea, although when my car was BPU i just did the wastegate spring mod, and the Bleeder T mod
