i was wondering if anybody has completely removed the bottom plastic engine cover. i could get to a lot more things without it, and i am constantly dropping things into it and having to retrieve. or is it needed for airflow?
I agree. I have been without mine for awhile, with no noticeable problems except it gets dirty faster. But, I think it should be obvious in this case that Toyota engineers know a little more than us. I would put mine back on if I could find it. Leave it on if possible, or send it to me.carcnoid said:I've heard that there is positive air pressure beneath the car that can prevent the air from escaping the engine bay at high speeds leading to overheating problems. I think the viper has to had one of these undercovers when they go out on a roadcourse to prevent overheating. I would just leave it on.
