Just wondering if you really need the plastic wrap inside the door panel. Its a mess, and i would like to just take it off, what is it for, and would it make that much of a difference?

Yes you do. Without it, your door panels will get wet and most likely warp. Purpose is to protect from water sneaking past the window seal on the outside door skin.

^+ 1^ it also helps keep the dust out of speaker grille and handles , as well as some road noise, if you rip them off replace with Dynomat ,

yeah if you remove it, also look into those (I think they are foam) backs to protect your speakers

yup you need it, I took mine out of my civic when I was 18 to save weight!!! WOW dumb move. The first time I washed my car was the last time I heard my brand new door speakers!!! lol... But yuppers leave that plastic crap [email protected][email protected]!
