I ordered all of the pieces for the fuel bypass mod (separately), and wanted to know if the -6 AN braided hose (from summit) is supposed to fit snugly in the nipple portion of the -6 AN connector. The hose does fits snugly in the fitting housing, but there is some play in the hole.

I can't picture what you're talking about, but the manufacturers always say if you use their fittings, use their hose. Don't mix and match like using Earls fittings with Aeroquip hose. If you're using the same manufacturer for both then you should be ok. My braided hose has always been tight to get into the housing of the fitting, and very tight when screwing the threaded potions of the fittings together. You have to seat the hose completely then make sure it doesn't back out as you screw the two pieces of the fitting together.
