As I'm search for a supra I keep finding cars with turbo vins that are NA. Even carfax says ther turbo but the owners say they are non- turbo. Did some NAs get turbo vins? Were these cars turbo and had a NA engine dropped into them?

weird. I'm going through Autotrader and looking at vins ma71's and four of them I have been told are non-turbo?? The car fax matches up (color, year, says its turbo), but when I call/email they say they are non-turbo. Why would someone go through the trouble of swaping in a NA motor or are the dealers/sellers are idiots.
