I've got a 1jz here that I thought was out of a supra. It is rear sump. I went to place it into my car the other night only to fight with it for about 4 hours trying to get it to line up. Is there any differance between the jza70 mounts and the JZZ mounts? They appear to be just a little too tall.... Perhaps I can cut my solid mounts down to make it fit?

anybody have any experience with this issue?

BTW: I thought the jzz30 was front sump?????

JZZ31 2JZ-GE and JZZ30 1JZ-GTE share the same motor mounts. Both are rear sump.

The JZA70 1JZ-GTE has a different harness, motor mounts, etc then the JZZ30. You cant install a JZA70 1JZ into an SC300 unless its highly modified.

A JZZ30 1JZ-GTE is plug and play in an SC300, becides the the extension of 40 wires.

Useless info: the JZZ31 body code was sold in Japan (rhd soarer gt) and US (lhd sc300) with the 2JZ-GE.

eh.....too hard to come by. I think all these need are a set of chopped down solid mounts. It fit in the engine bay and lined up with the tranny off. So I'm gonna hack these solid mounts and give it a whirl!
