maybe it was designed to be used on cars that have the same issues as RX-8's?

:dunno:

also, would it throw off your numbers a little since some(even if only a tiny bit) of the HP you're making is being used to spin the front wheels?

There is one style of chassis dyno for AWD cars that just has the two rollers connected so they spin at the same speed. They're great for cars like the RX8 that are unhappy about speed differences. And some AWD cars with electronic torque splits can get upset when the front and rear aren't at the same speed. Usually those dynos have adjustable wheebase though, and I don't really see that adjustment on this one.

If you forget to dissable your TRAC system on the Supra, it can do something similar as well. But apparently it's not as easy as "pulling the fuse" on the RX8's.
