Does your auto chirp tire?

Do the auto cars shift firm enough to get a noticeable shift in your cars?
I'm suffering from super soft(mushy shifts=heat=bad),almost unnoticeable shifts in my V8 Lexus, that uses the same tranny as the TT,and am trying to find out if the valve bodies are different so I can get one if it'll make a difference.
Toyota de-tuned almost everything on this car to make smooth like buttah, and,so far, the improvements(suspension/tires/intake/timing/mixture) have made it a lot nicer to own and drive.
I'm pushing 300hp,with some basic mods, and the torque is right up there with a stock tt.
Thanks

I've ridden in 2 BPU auto Supras and they both chirped on 1-2.

You can defiantly feel every shifts and they will spin like mad if you press too firmly on the gas:)

Cool,I was hoping that was the case,so far the SupraTT has provided some great upgrades for my plushmobile, and without having to deal with too much bogus aftermarket stuff.
Thanks

Hey..SCV8

SCV8,

I had the same problem in my luxo-coupe. (Mark VIII LSC)Although it's making about 330HP, the shifts were SUPER soft. The fix for this is to have a reprogrammed chip made/burned for your car. Here's what happens in my car: when the car is being shifted, (even a WOT) the transmission does: retards the timing, and give less pressure to the tranny valve body. This all adds up to a mushy shift, and because of less pressure to the valve body, can actually cause tranny damage. I suspect your Lex is doing something similar (doctors, yuppies and grannies generally don't like neck snapping shifts in a luxo-car). It's really an easy fix. Now when my car shifts it's close to neck snapping, and the tires chirp effortlessly. So look into a shift kit or a chip..but I suggest chip since, since not only can you fix the shift, you can get rid of top speed limiter, advance timing, turn fans on sooner, etc..etc...Now the firm shift were worth the price og the chip. But the added 14 rwhp and 17rwtq was an added bonus. Give it a try...
