To cut immediately to the chase: does a tight door panel affect the window from going up or down properly?
Here's the background info:
Bought a new door panel to replace my old one. I have a Viper installed, and the 529T window module attached to the door. I trimmed some of the foam from the door panel, but it still makes a very tight fit. When I put the panel on and tried the window, it will go down all the way, but going up it pauses and then stops maybe a few millimeters short of the top. If I open the door, I can make the window go up all the way. I thought it might be the tight door panel, so I put the original panel back on (the Viper installers ripped out all the foam on this one) and then tried the window again. The window went up a little further, but still stopped short. Again, I could make it go up if I opened the door.
So, am I looking at replacing the window motor?
Thanks for all advice
