Double din is Double din, be it GM/chrystler/toyota. It'll fit fine, I just hate the damn things. They are overpriced and look just plain goofy. Try Sounddomain.com they have adapter panels that'll have a small storage compartment and a single din opening, the store thing will hold cd's, cigaretts, you can cut it and place a 1 din turbo timer/EBC in there. Have fun with it, don't be limited to 2 din just 'cause toyota wanted it that way.
yup aamp of america makes one

i got my unit used from ktrends for 925. i believe i got a good deal because al and ed's electronics quoted me $2000 brand new without installation. just hearing 2grand made my stomach turn. its a good head unit, as long as you have the wallet for it.
ebay should have some for sale...only drawback is they don't come with warranties over internet sales.
yea...eclipse has their ESN (eclipse security network) function where you set whatever CD you want as a "key CD". if the head unit were to be removed and installed in another car, the unit would not function unless the key CD was inserted. if not, then the burglar is pretty much screwed.
only problem is it doesn't stop the thief from actually taking it out. my securities for this unit are my alpine alarm and an old jacket thrown over my dash to cover the stereo.

Finally have finished my stereo conversion on a relatively low budget. I want to thank Steve T for the ideas and his freind Wes who has designed a fantastic speaker upgrade for the MKiV. I mostly appreciate Steve Ishii for helping hammer out the stock wiring plug-n-play...
I've gotten used to not listening to music in the car, but now wouldn't mind some tunes for my weekend cruises (few and far between unfortunately).
Any recommendations? I've narrowed it down to Pioneer, but not sure what to do get to have Sat Radio/SIRIUS, Navigation, and apps as well...

From what I read my 87 has 4" speakers in the doors and 5" in the rear, correct? Can I fit 5.25" in the front door pods and 6.5" in the rear? or should I go with 4" in the front and 5.25" in the rear?
I will probably use Infinity Kappa speakers and an Infinity Basslink sub.
Head unit will be...
I've been working with Isaac to have these brackets made and my god these are next to being as easy as the tsx brackets Isaac have previously made, seems I am starting to really like the rx330's and rx350's
I currently am installing this on the fly, but I will completely disassemble the whole...
