DP and O2 sensor

i went to have the DP installed today with some other things, and i happened to look over the fact that there is no spot for the factory O2 sensor on the Blitz DP. Is it SAFE to temporarily leave the O2 sensor disconnected? Is there some sort of bypass, or do i need to have a flange made, or buy a DP with flange already?

You need the O2 sensor!!! Get a downpipe that's made for the supra with the O2 sensor mounting flange.
You don't need that 2nd O2 sensor. It exists only to tell the ECU whether or not the cats are in order. It only exists on OBD II cars, hence the MIL light going off when you remove your cats on '96+.

You can leave it disconnected if you want, or get an O2 sensor simulator circuit to fool the ECU into thinking everything's working fine.

Either way the car will run the same.

The second O2 sensor is there for OBDI cars too, but as far as I know it doesn't do anything... Don't really know why it's even there, anyone know??

What is a good DP that supports both O2 sensors?

There's no reason for the 2nd 02. If you have a ODB2 car, the O2 sensor will trip the Engine light if it doesnt detect a catylic converter.

If you have a 93-95, there's no reason to remount the O2 sensor because the computer ignores the signal anyway.

just zip tie it off to the sides.

Well I got a 98 so I don't want to drive around with my engine light on all the time. If I don't mount the second O2 sensor can someone tell me where I can get a O2 sensor simulator circuit. Something that is plug and pray...maybe..
ive had my o2 sensor disconnected for about a year now n only recently the check engine light came on... i was wondering why it did that and local shops told me its the dp n i know it wasnt so asking the pro's now......i have a 94 n i do have my o2 sensor zip tied to the side in a baggy to keep it nice and clean.
it could be your number one, check code again to see if it faults the first one.
