hello guys, i have some questions to the masters of drag racing!

last weekend we had a supra meeting. so they all drove bad times (when we see what they do in the usa).

our fastest supra made: 10,9 sec. and 221 km/h with m/t drag radials...this car makes on a dynojet nearly 1000hp on e85.

do you think the our biggest problem here in germany is our drag strip!?!? what i remember was, that a american drag strip is very special prepared.

it was 229,6 kmh, thats arround 143 mph

most of the time the track is completly unprepared,

sometimes they spray only a little bit but not a big deal.

Well, it's really in track prep out there. Look at the 60ft. Alot of the faster guys here are cutting 1.3X 60fts here. That generally would have more than a second off your ET

Even the bad tracks over here will have enough VHT to yank your shoes off sometimes. :lol:

Are the cars set up for drag racing? Or are they just dyno queen cars taken to the track? Basically doing what the US did 7-9 years ago pulling our the 14s @ 140.

I assume its the track and the cars. More info on the cars could help besides the power output.

its not a dyno queen, its the boss on german autobahn´s

eddie just ask´s cuz he dont wanna believe me when Im saying its just the track why I did only a 10.9/ 143mph, 60ft 1,99,

I was on soft coilover setting and MT drag radials on 16"´s,

it is really pretty hard to get a good 60ft on our really bad tracks,

and the car is build for highway pulls, not specially for drag racing, its 6sp,too.

I tried several times my 2step but the tires spinning the whole time, so I ran the 10.9 without 2 step, and the 10.9 was on BFG Drag radial but with the MT I had to fight with same problem, TRACTION.

Not a bad time for what you run on over there Sami. If it is faster than the rest (you won I believe) then it was fast enough that day!

if I use the MT drag radials why the is so spongy, I have to lift the pedal in 3rd and 4th, it goes left to right right to left, cannot control it, at the 10.9 run I just risk it and stayed at full throttle.

sami i believe in your times, i saw what you made last weekend in luckau. but its hard to see that so manny supras here in germany will never see 1/4 times under 10 second

so i wanted to ask the specialist on the 1/4 mile what could be the miracle?!?!

Im sure there`s a properly prepped track somewhere in Germany? Could be worth a trip too see what the car can do for real We got a couple "real" tracks over here in Sweden, granted they dont see the daily use as many of the tracks in the U.S.... We prep the local airfield here with a few runs of the big tire cars over here (bias ply 11,5 and bigger slicks) and a couple of coats of VHT Trackbite and you got a decent track at least to the 60`
