Although some here may not be into drifting I am posting it for those that are. Also many may be interested in the Car Show part of the event. So come on out to Monroe and enjoy a Sunday with other auto enthusiasts.

Drift Fest is bringing Drifting and a Car Show to one location. On Sunday June 5th at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA you will be able to find all the entertainment an automotive enthusiasts will need.

The Drifting part of the event will be open to all who register. Allowing local drifters the valuable track time they need to perfect there driving skills. There will be instruction for those still learning the skill of drifting. We will even have ride alongs available for those who are interested in the sport but do not have a vehicle ready to start drifting yet. With all these options it allows people of every level to enjoy the day.

The Car Show side of the event will again be open to all who register. Displaying some of the NW's Phatest Rides. Many different trophies in numerous classes. 'Best of Show' winner not only wins a trophy but also a small feature in an up coming issue of Performance Auto & Sound Magazine. DB Drags will be brought to you by Car Toys, the better way to go.

There will be tons of other entertainment through out the day. Including some great DJ's, some of the NW's hottest girls competing in the Bikini Contest, and much more. Come and experiance the Northwest Premier Drifting Event.

Drift Fest '05 is this Sunday. I would like everyone to know that anyone on the waiting list must be at the track no later then 9am and ready for tech and drift. It may be a while before you actually get to start drifting but we will only be doing the tech and pre drift meeting ONCE so if you miss out the next in line will be drifting while you watch.
Drift Fest will go on Rain or Shine. The grandstand seating is covered and the concession are under the grandstand so the only people who have to get wet; are those that truely want to.

We will also have Neema and Unexpected Arrival performing at 4pm. If you are unfamiliar with them visit http://www.unexpectedarrival.com

Anyone interested in ride alongs with drifters please bring a helmet, if you have access to one. We have a limited amount of sizes available.

See everyone Sunday June 5th for a fun day in Monroe.

it was . . . ok

first half: waaaaay too many drivers, too wet= suck

second half: a bunch of people left, so the wait between runs was down to about 30 minutes, and it cleared up = not so suck

there were some people that kept cutting in line, which was really weak. i won't name them except to say that they had the most powerful cars there but were not the best drivers there by a long shot.

the thing i did like about it was the car show. i don't like car shows, but having it attracted more people and made the cost much lower for the drivers. plus, showing off is what drifting is all about right?

pic just for fun

Thank You!

I'm glad everyone enjoyed themself. Personally I'm my worse critic so I seen alot of stuff that went wrong, and things that I will do different at the next one

I will say that without all the help I got there is no way I could have done this event. Especially Torque Steerers,(www.torquesteerers.org) more then less made the drifting a success. Sean judging and making sure Car show ran smooth.

BTW Anyone see the idiot on stage that entered all judging info into program using car number instead of names. I can laugh at myself too. Thanks again to everyone who drove out to see the event.

I would like to also make a special thanks to EO Performance.(http://eoperformance.com) The only performance shop that purchased booth space.

wanganwonder- please pm or email me with any feedback I would really appreciate it. I expected to spend alot more time with the drifting, but I was a little overwhelmed with almost 3 times as many spectators as I expected.

Most the feed back I have recieved was 90% would pay double for half as many drivers. I gaurantee the price will not double(but will increase) and the number of drivers will drastically decrease. I apoligize for some long waits. I really wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the first Drift Fest.
