My fan is f'd unfortunately so i am looking into some electric fans.

I searched around for a while and now i just have a few questions...

I noticed that people were saying the flex-a-lite fans were unreliable. I live in Georgia and it gets EXTREMELY hot here durring the summer. I'd rather not spend 300 dollars on something that isnt going to prevent my car from overheating.

With that said, i was looking into the dsm and contour fans...

For whatever reason people seem to recommend the both of them a lot. Has anyone ever had trouble with either of them as far as not being efficient enough to cool the car? (overheating)

Also i would like to know specifically what year dsms i am pulling these fans from if i decide to go with them.

Any sort of write up/install procedure/pics would be cool as i am trying to assess whether or not to replace the stock fan clutch or just go electric.

After reading what i read i am totally turned off on the F-A-L's

Thanks in advance for the help/flaming... whichever it may be

i think the dsm fans are gonna be some of the best fans you can get that fit over our raditor for its price (around 50 from a junkyard). I ran them for like 5 months in like 110 degree summer florida weather...the temp guage never winked

Ok that's what i wanted to hear. How exactly do you have them wired up? I've seen a few people do the fans with a toggle switch and so on... I'd rather not.

whatever you guys think is the best method though...

oh and what dsm did you pull yours off of?

was it last gen? 2nd to last gen?

also... turbo... na?

Thanks a lot for your help

just hook it up on relay and then use trigger for the secound speed of the fan since it will kill your altnator cause it flow like motor fucker for power then the flex fans as well on it's max speed

and it from a 92 v6

I removed my fan and went with dual hayden electric fans. Two 12" will fit (barely). SO i went with hayden 10"

Kept the motor plenty cool.
