Dyno questions...

I am interested in getting my car dynoed. There is a shop near here that has one. It sounds a little shady though. The guy says that it is a Bear 1170HP chassis dyno. It is not computerized (so I guess it doesn't correct). He says it is $50 an hour to use it. He says it would measure hp and tq in relation to mph. Is this even worth it, or would it be a waste of my time? Thanks.
