had a local dyno day, so dynoed my car.. I wanted to break 400, but was just shy :( oh well, just need to rent some dyno time and actually tune it..

Specs on my car
2jz swap
stock twins (usdm turbos)
aem (with my 1/2 ass street tune)
18 psi
fmic w/ 2.5" hard pipes
3" exhuast
ttc w/ valves removed

Boost fell off to ~ 16 psi on the run up top.. probably need to do the spring mod..

heres the sheet

its really rich on spoolup (12.5) so need to tune that out, but still got 18 psi by ~3900 rpm..

Edit: i added a bit of timing ~2* in upper boost from my last track run (113 mph) so seemed to add some power.. I was figuring 113 was ~ 370-380whp.. hopfully get 115 with this now..

no I'm on the us cams.. power came down sooner then I hoped.. but looking at my logs It fell to 17 psi by 5k and 16 psi by 6k so power fell off sooner then I wanted.. and with the not so tuned a/f in the top end it fell quicker as well.. timing was ~ 13* 4000-5000 and at the top end was ~ 15-16* so probably can squeeze some more out of it..

Good numbers! What injectors are you runing, stock jdm 440cc or us spec 550cc.

Nice. 113-115 traps with decent traction should be 12.5-12.7.

haha, i didn't really have traction problems on the pass though.. my 275/35/18 contisports are on the wear bars though :eek: time for 295s :D

still some left in it only a 2.09 60'.. hopfully with this tad bit more power maybe I can get 115 mph and get a lower 12.. but probably just going to try my radials this weekend.. and TRY for an 11 :)

need to get my boost to hold steady 18 though.. in 1st only got 14 2nd 16 and 3rd 17.. 4th finally got 18, haha.. i'm sure if I held steady 18 I could knock a few tenths off..

time for drag wheels not wider 18's... get some 15" drag radials.


not bad... i take it your still running the twins sequential? that 10.88 a/f is kinda scary. looks like one hell of a car with somre more time spent tuning

Why is the 10.88 kind of scary? Isn't that just a little rich? I thought we were supposed to be scared of running lean. My car goes to 10.00 sometime on my AEM wideband, but only when I give it like half throttle, and it only lasts for a second or two.

Tissimo,

Nice numbers man. Why do you say its rich on spool up at 12.5? You want your richest mixture at your peak torque so 12.5 doesnt seem too rich for your midrange.

the a/f doesn't need to be 12.5 at 2-10 psi.. I can run it a tad leaner and pickup some power and spool quicker..

haha yea, I eventually will get some 15" with some DRs or MAYBE et streets.. right now have some stock 5 stars with some 255/50 bfgs.. going to try them out this weekend :)

I dont think 10.88 is scary really, just wasting fuel though.. I'll tune it to 11.5-11.2 (on the dyno was ~ 11.8 in places... my wideband was reading a little richer, but might have a few leaks in my exhaust :eek: haha..
