has anyone seen a MKII with ect on the combination meter. and

is it like the temps on the MKIII? what year is it on? j/w if anyone

Looks like the standard 84-early 86 MkII analog automatic instrument cluster to me. I assume you mean "TEMS" and not "temps". TEMS control the shock valving on the MKIII. The ECT lights/switch control how aggressive the transmission shifts. So there is no relation between these two. The 2 lights are for indicating if your on the power setting (orange) or the normal setting (green) for the auto trans.
