I have my EGR installed but I cant pass emissions. I have extremely high NOx and this engine has less than 3000 miles on it. Just wondering if the EGR can actually malfunction causing high NOx. If not, what other issues could be causing this? :ugh2:

Yep, that can happen. Have you tried taking off the pipes and cleaning them out? I've done this on my 3cyl Sprint 3 times now because my NOx was too high. Worked every time though!

How would you clean the pipes out? They are kinda small...

02 sensor. Mine was N0x was crazy high when my 02 sensor went out.

If O2 sensor is out doesnt the check engine light normally accompany it?

I had high Nox on my 7m-ge Cressida. I retarded the timing about 7degrees. everything passed.
